Wow! What a beautifully thought-out product design, well built with high quality materials and workmanship, and simple to configure for our immediate use and home automation system by plugging in a simple Z-wave module. The videos produced by Total Outdoor Lighting convinced us to try this WiFi compatible 110 to 12 and 15 volt AC transformer. It really is designed for outdoor lighting systems. We’ve had multiple generations of home automation system for over 40 years. This unit is designed with LED efficiencies in mind.Price Quality Value
We’re using this unit to provide power to 10 new LED floodlights on the front to illuminate the front our home. We wanted wall wash fixtures that were likely to last and purchased units with metal housings. One of the last components we selected and purchased were SMART 5W WiFi Color Changing lamps. While the WiFi connection between our controls and the transformer were fine to turn the power to the transformer on and off with the WiFi signals passing through the house the metal housing on the lamp fixtures made the individual lamps, each with their own WiFi address needed stronger WiFi signals to be able to select the output color and level of brightness reliably. We installed a WiFi access point that extended our outdoor WiFi range to almost 400 feet. Issue resolved. Every component of our landscape lighting system is working beautifully for us. We're using several systems and apps to monitor and control our new landscape lighting.
The lamps we are using draw approximately 5 watts each and have about 500 lumen output in white light modes and are rated near 300 lumen in color modes. We’ll be adding additional path lights and have plenty of power from this single transformer to add landscape lighting to more of our property and will be able to take advantage of the 15 volt feature of the transformer to do that on longer runs.
