This product is fine for its specified use. It doesn't work on lamp cord which I used to install by landscape lights. The retailer I originally purchased by landscape lights from, recommended I use lamp cord rather than specialized wiring to save money. The lamp cord works great but it is too thick to fit in this connector. I had to shave off some of the insulation (not an easy task) to make the lamp cord fit in the connector.
